Mid-way Progress

Reviewing My Midterm Progress in WPCredits

Published on: 08/02/2026

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

Context

At the midpoint of the project, I reviewed the activities I had completed and evaluated my progress within the WordPress Polyglots team.

The purpose of this review was to identify improvements, unresolved challenges, and priorities for the remaining weeks.

Procedure

I reviewed my submitted translations, their current status, the time invested, and the evidence collected for this portfolio.

I also compared my first contributions with my more recent work to identify changes in my process.

Progress so Far

  • Translations submitted: 101
  • Translations approved: 0
  • Translations pending review: 101
  • Estimated hours invested: 10
  • Journal entries complete: 5

Evidence

Obstacles

One challenge has been waiting for some translation suggestions to be reviewed. This means that the number of submitted translations may be different from the number of approved contributions.

I have also encountered strings where the context or expected terminology was not immediately clear.

Lessons Learned

I learned that contribution progress should not be measured only by the number of approved translations. Research, reviewing terminology, documenting the process, and correcting mistakes are also valuable parts of the experience.

I also understood the importance of maintaining evidence from the beginning of the project.

Reflection

I feel more comfortable using the contribution platform than I did at the beginning. My review process has become more organized, although I still need to improve my efficiency.

During the next stage, I plan to continue contributing and focus on quality rather than only quantity.
